Join senior officers to hear about some of the major issues facing the University and higher education, and ask them about the issues that matter to you.

You are invited to join this special Open Forum event, focused on the launch of the Race Equality Task Force, which was launched this month to address racial inequality at Oxford. The event is open to all staff and will include an introduction from the Vice-Chancellor to the aims of the Task Force, followed by short presentations from Dr Rebecca Surender, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Advocate for Equality and Diversity and Professor Anne Trefethen and Professor Martin Williams, Pro-Vice-Chancellors and Co-chairs of the Race Equality Task Force. This will be followed by a Q&A session.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Louise Richardson, discussed current challenges facing the University and answered questions on issues that matter to you. A transcript from the 4 Nov event is now available on SharePoint (requires SSO).

The Vice-Chancellor hosted a special Open Forum event focused on the University’s preparations for the next academic year. The event included a short summary presentation by Professor Karen O’Brien, Head of Humanities Division, and Baroness Jan Royall, Principal of Somerville College, Co-Chairs of the Michaelmas Coordination Group, followed by a Q&A session, where the following colleagues were on hand to respond to questions: Gill Aitken (Registrar), Professor Chris Conlon (Head of Nuffield Department of Medicine - Experimental Medicine), Professor Patrick Grant (Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research), Dr David Prout (Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Planning and Resources), Professor Anne Trefethen (Pro-Vice-Chancellor for People & Gardens Libraries and Museums) and Professor Martin Williams (Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education).

On Monday 6 July 2020 Professor Anne Trefethen, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (People & Gardens, Library and Museums) and Julian Duxfield, HR Director, discussed the progress that’s being made on the University’s people priorities and future plans, including the latest issues on pay, pensions and well-being. This event took place on Teams Live.
