2.3 Emails from HR Self-Service

Please note the following about emails sent about or from HR Self-Service:

  • Initial 'Welcome' email: The initial email about your account creation will come from an internal University email, suffixed with: '@ox.ac.uk'.
  • System-generated emails: Subsequent emails, such as reminders to complete new starter 'Tasks' or notifications about leave requests (for participating departments), will come from the system, representing our HR system supplier, and not an internal address.
  • Email links: All HR Self-Service emails will direct you to the University URL link: https://staff.admin.ox.ac.uk/hrss, expanding to: https://staff.admin.ox.ac.uk/working-at-oxford/you-and-work/hr-self-service, where you will log in using your Single Sign-On (SSO) details. 
  • Security notice: Never disclose personal information, such as your bank details, in response to an unexpected email. Verify the authenticity of any request before responding. For more advice on avoiding email/phishing scams, refer to the Information Security team.

Protecting your personal information is a shared responsibility. Stay vigilant and follow best practices to maintain the security of your HR Self-Service account.
